Vision of Victory

“When Jesus birthed His Church, He intended for her to rule and
reign with Him throughout eternity.”

Jesus Christ came to earth with a vision of victory. His vision included personal victory for Himself and victory for the Church that He intended to build.

To have victory, one must have opposition. Jesus faced opposition! He faced opposition from spirit beings and human beings. He went face to face with Satan and did not bat an eye. In their One on one encounter, Jesus defeated Satan with the power of the Spirit and the truth of God. He then went about in the power of the Spirit and, with the truth of God, destroyed the works of Satan in the lives of all who responded in faith. He also began gathering and training disciples who would be the nucleus of the Church that He was about to birth, the Church that would carry on His work in victory. He taught His disciples truth and prepared them to receive the Spirit of God in power. He knew that they would need both to experience victory.

Jesus was victorious in every part of His life’s work on earth. To make sure that His Church would carry on His work in victory, He gave her all that she would need. He gave His life for her; He gave her His Spirit, authority, and power; He gave her His Word of truth; He gave her spiritual leaders; and He gave her His prayer for unity. From the throne of God, He ever lives to make intercession for her.

When Jesus birthed His Church, He intended for her to rule and reign with Him throughout eternity. Well, nearly two thousand years have passed, and from time to time, parts of the Church have fulfilled her Lord’s vision for victory. But the Church as a whole has not at any one time walked in the fullness of the Lord’s vision of victory. Some, maybe many, do not think that it will take place until the Lord returns. I am fully convinced that certain things will not, and can not, take place until the Lord returns, but I also believe with all my heart that there is much more that we can do and experience in victory.

I encourage those who have ears to hear to do two things. First, begin seeking God in prayer for a vision of victory; ask the Lord Jesus to share His vision with you. Secondly, begin studying the Word of God in earnest concerning the Church that Jesus is building. The Lord will reward your search. You will find that the Church is called to victory. Let’s begin declaring victory in Jesus! Let’s sing victory in Jesus! Let’s unite in Christ and experience victory in Jesus! God bless His victorious Church!

BIBLICAL APPLICATION:
But thanks be to God! He gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ. Therefore, my dear brothers, stand firm. Let nothing move you. Always give yourselves fully to the work of the Lord, because you know that your labor in the Lord is not in vain.
1 Corinthians 15:57-58 NIV
