TRIED BY FIRE - Part IV
“It is not necessary that
anyone should weep in regret
as they stand before
the Lord.”
In the earlier parts of Tried by Fire, much of the emphasis is on those who
will weep at the judgment seat of Christ because they
missed the mark in doing works worthy of the Lord while
on earth. They are born again Christians, but they
never made full commitment to the Lord and His Word.
They may not have been taught the Word of God by their
leaders. They may have had good intentions but never
broke free from the things of the world and/or the
cares of life. They may have been dedicated workers in
Church activities and programs, but never became true
and mature witnesses of Jesus Christ and the kingdom of
God. Whatever the reason(s), many Christians will have
cause to regret and weep at the judgment seat of
Christ.
There is nothing more important
than being born again and spending eternity with the
Lord and His family, but all Christians need to learn
and remember that, as born again believers, they are to
do works of God, works worthy of those bought with the
price of the precious blood of Jesus the Messiah. The
Spirit of Christ is calling through His true prophets
and ministers! Are you listening? He is not only
calling for repentance, He is calling for maturity.
He is calling all who have been born again to
have Christ formed within them. He is calling for the
body of Christ to mature in Christ, to unite in faith,
to seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness,
and to harmoniously work together in preaching the good
news of Jesus and the kingdom of God in the whole world
as a witness to all nations.
It is not necessary that anyone
should weep in regret as they stand before the Lord. He
wants to say, “Well done!” and give you
rewards for your faithful service while on earth. There
are people today who are being faced with the decision
of whether to choose Christ as Savior or to continue as
they are. I pray that they will choose Christ. There
are some Christians today who are also facing a
decision. It is not a decision of salvation and eternal
life, but it is a decision concerning preparation for
the judgment seat of Christ. I pray that the decision
that is made will lead to rejoicing without weeping.
Let Christ be glorified by your decision!
