Rhema Inspiration
Do you delight in the Word of God?
Do you meditate on the truth of God day and night? If
so, then you are blessed of God, and you will be like a
tree planted by living waters that bears fruit for Him
and prospers in all that you do in obedience to His
Spirit.
I encourage each of you to compare
and contrast Psalm One with the parable of the sower
(Matthew 13, Mark 4, Luke 8), with full personal
application. Psalm One gives a good description of
those who are good soil and bear much fruit for the
kingdom of God. The Word of God is living and is
powerful! Those who feed daily on the Word of God and
seek to live by it will abide in Christ and will bear
much fruit to His honor and glory.
If the above is true, and I know
that it is, then why are there so few Christians who
are bearing real fruit for God and His kingdom? Two of
the most important reasons are that most Christians are
not personally studying the Word of God to show
themselves approved (2 Timothy 2:15), and most
Christians are not in a local church where the
ministers are free from man's ideas and opinions about
the Word of God. Most Christians who study any part of
the Word read it from a predetermined viewpoint and are
therefore hindered in their personal understanding of
the Word. Most Christians also sit under ministers who
are ministering the Word from a predetermined viewpoint
that produces similar results. They are studying and
teaching through a man-made filter, rather than solely
under the inspiration and revelation of the Holy
Spirit.
It is time to be and/or to find
ministers who will have no yeast of man's teaching
mixed with their preaching and teaching of God's truth.
It is time to hold each other accountable to the truth
of God's Word and not to denominational or
non-denominational teachings and beliefs. Jesus had
enough problems with that while He was on earth. I know
that these are strong statements, and I exhort you to
weigh them carefully by the Word of God under the
influence of the Holy Spirit and free from
predetermined mindsets and filters.
Many people will be tempted to
start listing all of their accomplishments within the
church, but most of their accomplishments are in line
with what their particular denomination or
non-denomination sets as guidelines rather than what
the Holy Spirit reveals in His guidelines. It is
ironic, but many people, both ministers and church
members, will talk about how bad things are in the
world and how few real committed disciples there are,
but they will react against what I am saying this
morning. Judgment begins at the house of God, and it is
time for us to take stock. We are going to be judged by
what is in the Word and not by what some group decided
was in the Word!
The Word of God reveals that each
true believer has a personal responsibility for knowing
and living by the Word of God. The Word of God is very
clear about the necessity of being equipped by true and
mature ministers of God. The Word of God warns about
the Church being attacked and infiltrated by false
teachers. It is time for each of us to take stock of
our personal lives in relationship to our own study of
the Word and also in relationship to those who
influence us concerning the Word. I will remind you
again that you may find truth in your personal study or
hear truth from a true prophet, but in both cases, that
truth can be diluted or stolen by other ministers that
you listen to, even the one you sit under as part of a
local church. Therefore, it is incumbent upon each
sincere, real, and true disciple to make sure that
they, and any they influence, find a local church with
a minister who is entirely true to Jesus and His Word.
Have you ears to hear, and will you be a doer of what
you hear?
The flesh and religious traditions
are very powerful. It will take complete commitment to
God and His truth for anyone to break free from their
devilish bonds, but I am counting on you to be among
those who forsake all to follow Christ. I am counting
on you to be a disciple who makes disciples who will
make disciples of Jesus and His truth and not of man's
religion. I am counting on you to be totally yielded to
the Holy Spirit and to help bring restoration and
revival to the Church, which will result in great
awakening to the lost.
Do you see the need for
restoration, revival, and awakening within the Church?
Many pastors will not be happy with restoration
prophets until they really see the need and receive the
revelation that there can be unity of faith in the
Church that Jesus is building. Before this can happen,
they must be freed from their present way of thinking,
which, in many cases, is a product of the Christian
group or network with which they have aligned
themselves. I’m not warring anyone or any group.
I am saying that the Church, which includes your group,
needs restoration to some degree or another. We need
ministers who are willing, under the direction of the
Holy Spirit, to re-look at the Word in its entirety,
and where the Word contradicts your particular group,
you will stand with Jesus and His Word and help build
the church accordingly.

BIBLICAL APPLICATION:
Now we have received, not the
spirit of the world, but the Spirit who is from God,
that we might know the things that have been freely
given to us by God. These things we also speak, not in
words which man’s wisdom teaches but which the
Holy Spirit teaches, comparing spiritual things with
spiritual. But the natural man does not receive the
things of the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness
to him; nor can he know them, because they are
spiritually discerned. 1
