Rhema Inspiration
I continue to encourage true
Christians to have a regular plan of studying the whole
Bible and to do so under the guidance of the Holy
Spirit. Actually, the Bible cannot be understood
without the guidance of the Holy Spirit. Many
Christians are guilty of only allowing the Holy Spirit
to teach them part of the truth of God's Word. In
certain key areas, they lean to man's predetermined
viewpoints about the Word. We should not lean on our
own understanding or anyone else's understanding about
any part of Scripture. To do so is to open the door to
man's yeast or leaven.
While studying the book of Mark
this morning, I received a rhema Word from God. I had
already read Mark 12:24, and while continuing on in my
study of Mark, the Holy Spirit spoke to me and said
that any error concerning the Word of God is due to
Christians not knowing the Scripture(s). It just came
alive to me; it was so clear!
The lesson about new wine in new
wineskins has many applications. Some sincere and true
believers have mentally and emotionally bought into
specific teachings that are the result of man's mind
and not the mind of the Holy Spirit, and, in those
areas, they have become old wineskins. After
speaking to me the rhema Word above, the Holy Spirit
emphasized some Scriptures that true Christians
(disciples) need to heed. Those Scriptures are the one
found above (Mark 12:24) and John 8:31,32.
Mark 12:24: Jesus answered and
said to them, “Are you not therefore mistaken,
because you do not know the Scriptures nor the power of
God?”
John 8:31,32: Then Jesus said to
those Jews who believed Him, “If you abide in My
word, you are My disciples indeed. And you shall know
the truth, and the truth shall make you
free.”
The rhema Word received today
gives more meaning and understanding —
revelation, as it were — to why it is incumbent
upon all true disciples to study the entire Bible to
show themselves approved. By doing this under the
teaching of the Holy Spirit, disciples become mature
and can discern the difference in good and evil because
their senses are trained. They know what is truth, and
they know what is error. We are living in a day when
the spirit of the Antichrist has a stronghold in much
of modern Christianity. The Holy Spirit is calling for
repentance and a return to the Lord. He is calling for
restoration, revival, and awakening. Will you heed the
call? Will you be part of the faithful remnant who
breaks free from the bonds of religion and of the world
to be part of the remnant Church that denies self,
forsakes all, and unites in faith to follow Jesus?

BIBLICAL APPLICATION:
For though by this time you ought
to be teachers, you have need again for someone to
teach you the elementary principles of the oracles of
God, and you have come to need milk and not solid food.
For everyone who partakes only of milk is not
accustomed to the word of righteousness, for he is an
infant. But solid food is for the mature, who because
of practice have their senses trained to discern good
and evil. Hebrews 5:
